Melissa Barrera is 'at peace' after 'Scream 7' sacked her for pro-Israeli-Hamas posts

After being dismissed from "Scream 7" for her Israel-Hamas war social media posts, Melissa Barrera is "at peace".

The actress told Rolling Stone on Wednesday that Spyglass Media Group dropped her from the horror series after she criticized Israel and supported Palestinians on Instagram.

"I'm not the first person that’s happened to, but it was shocking," Barrera. "I have no words.

I think everything was transparent on both sides, and I know who I am and that what I stated always came from a position of love, humanity, human rights, and freedom for people, which shouldn't be contentious. Nobody should argue it.

In November, Spyglass said it has "zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech."

Barrera responded by condemning "hate and prejudice of any kind against any group of people..

Barrera called Ortega a "good egg," adding, "She's a good person and we love each other," in a Rolling Stone interview. Regardless, she and I would support each other."
