Lions Could Trade Wide Receiver for $82 Million

The Detroit Lions had one of the strongest passing assaults in the league in 2022,

but they will start the 2023 season without second-year receiver Jameson Williams, who was suspended for the opening game.

However, because the NFC South is currently deadlocked, the Lions may have an additional option.

According to Dallas Robinson of the Pro Football Network, the Detroit Lions are a top option for Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans.

Evans has expressed his desire for a new contract, but he has set a deadline for signing it that is quickly approaching.

If the two parties cannot reach an agreement before the start of the next season, Evans will be obliged to play out the final year of his current contract,

the Buccaneers may seek to acquire other players in exchange for him. Robinson speculated in his report that

the Lions would be among the most interested parties in the four-time Pro Bowler if he were available for trade.

According to Robinson, the Lions might benefit from having a proven second option in addition to their top receiver, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Evans could be that option.
