Keanu Reeves to Receive Inaugural Lance Reddick Legacy Award at Saturn Award

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films has announced that Keanu Reeves will be the first winner of the Lance Reddick Legacy Award,

which will be presented at the 51st Saturn Awards in remembrance of Reddick. The prize, named in honor of Reddick,

honors Reeves' contributions to genre filmmaking throughout his long career, and he appears to be the ideal candidate to kick off the award.

Titus Welliver, Reddick's longtime friend and co-star on Bosch, will present Reeves with the prize.

The decision to award this to Reeves also seems fitting, given the close friendship he and Reddick developed as a result of their collaboration on the five John Wick-set films they appeared in —

John Wick Chapters 1-4, and the upcoming spin-off, Ballerina, which will be Reddick's final on-screen role after his tragic death at the age of 60 in March 2023.

This year's Saturn categories will also include three extra special achievement categories

Christopher Nolan has received the Visionary Award for his contributions to science-fiction filmmaking, which include films such as The Prestige, Inception, Interstellar, and Tenet.
