Every Sign Taylor Swift Will Announce ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version)’

Since Scooter Braun bought her masters in 2019, Swift has started rerecording and rereleasing her first six albums. After Fearless and Red (Taylor Ver.) dropped, Taylor Swift released Speak Now (Taylor's Version) in July 2021 and 1989 in October.

Fan speculation about the upcoming rerecord has begun with only two remaining to announce: 2016's Reputation and her 2006 self-titled debut. After “Delicate (Taylor’s Version)” and “Look What You Made Me Do” surfaced on Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty and Wilderness, respectively, all signals pointed to Reputation.

Swift has also started wearing more “Rep era” tones like black, silver, and gold, a hallmark move she uses to tease to impending projects. “Easter eggs can be left on clothing or jewelry,” Swift told Entertainment Weekly in 2019. “This is one of my favorite ways because you wear something that foreshadows something else.” People may not see this right away, but they realize you're conveying a message.”

Every Song Except ‘I Did Something Bad’ Swift has performed every song from Reputation during the “surprise songs” part of the Eras Tour so far this year except “I Did Something Bad.” Fans think Rep is delaying the tune to hint to her "era," like she did with "New Romantics" till 1989 (Taylor's Version).

Silver, Black, Gold All Over Swift carefully changed the color of her Eras Tour costumes before Speak Now (TV) and 1989 (TV) to hint at an album reveal. At her November 24 concert in São Paulo, Brazil, the singer wore a silver jacket for “The Man” and a silver outfit during her Fearless phase. Later in the show, her Speak Now gown was pink with black and gold decorations. Signature colors of Reputation are black, gold, and silver.

Dancers Drop Hints In November, Swift's Eras Tour dancer Jan Ravnik posted a black-and-white snake shot on Instagram Stories. The snake symbolized Swift's 2016 Reputation era, recalling her dispute with Kim Kardashian, who dubbed Swift a snake.

Wink, wink Swift fans noticed that after her Speak Now part in her first São Paulo concert, she turned back and winked as she exited the stage. The move suggested Swift may have a surprise for her remaining Brazil tour dates, according to social media fans.

A ticking clock TIME chose Swift Person of the Year 2023 on December 6. For the occasion, artist Jane Perkins produced a mosaic picture of the singer with over 30 Easter eggs. Fans saw a miniature snake next to a clock with 12 and 7 hands on the right. The snake and clock are adjacent to a friendship bracelet that says “Taylor’s Version,” prompting many to believe Swift will release Reputation on December 7.

Swift's “Rep Memories” Instagram Story highlights began on December 7, 2017, supporting this notion. A behind-the-scenes video of Swift and Jack Antonoff writing “Getaway Car” starts the series.

The (Stylish) Details Make the Devil Taylor wore a green velvet dress and snakeskin boots to dinner with Blake Lively in January 2024. Fans thought Reputation was changing her style to meet the age because snakes are her signature.
