CBS will premiere Season 2 of "Yellowstone" in October.

Although Episode 9 of Yellowstone Season 1 on CBS this Sunday, October 22, marks the conclusion of the show's network television run, the Dutton family drama will continue.   

One week after Season 1 concludes, CBS has confirmed that Season 2 of the Yellowstone saga will premiere.  

In the final episode of Yellowstone Season 1, "The Unraveling Pt. 2," Kevin Costner's character John Dutton is surrounded by people who want to take his land, and there is also a lot of family conflict.  

Sunday, October 29th will see the release of Season 2, Episode 1, "A Thundering."  

In the opening scene of the second season, Kayce (played by Luke Grimes) is acclimating to his new position at the Yellowstone.  

While Chairman Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) is presenting his plans for the valley to the tribe council and a reporter's explosive piece threatens to reveal John Dutton's illegal activities.  

Many new fans who were not aware of the show when it launched on Paramount Network in 2018 have been able to discover Yellowstone because to its tremendous popularity in its network television debut.   

In a press release, it was said that almost 21.6 million fans had seen at least one episode of the first season on CBS, with 52% of those viewers having never watched the program before.
