Alyssa Milano's request for son's baseball team funds draws criticism.

The plea for a baseball fundraiser made by Alyssa Milano is not being well received on social media.

In response to her request that fans contribute to a fundraising event for her son's baseball team, the star of "Charmed" has been met with criticism.

"The baseball team that my son plays for is trying to raise money for their trip to Cooperstown," the actress wrote in a message on X, which was once known as Twitter. "Any amount would be so greatly appreciated."

Milano provided a link to a GoFundMe campaign that was established in May 2023 and is requesting a sum of $10,000 to put toward the travel fund for the team.

"Your donation will go to travel costs, uniforms, and dues for families," the information on the page. "We also might use your donations for pins or novelty items to make our tournaments memorable experiences beyond the field."

Nearly eight thousand dollars had been raised by the time Friday afternoon rolled around.

On the other hand, Milano was criticized for soliciting financial contributions from her fans, with some individuals questioning the actress's ability to personally meet the expenses.

One X post stated, "You are a damned Millionaire," for example. "Pay for your son's trip yourself."
